Transformation, reform and responding to new legislation

We became approved consultants for the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) last year.  Our work is to support local authorities, children’s trusts and Directors of Children’s Services to develop children’s workforce development strategies.  We have completed this work in Hartlepool, North Tyneside, North Yorkshire, Newcastle and Liverpool so far.

In Barnsley, we are currently collecting data for early years and childcare benchmarking with statistical neighbours for Local Area Agreement purposes, and supporting children’s centres development.

Change management

In Northamptonshire, we are supporting voluntary management committees providing early years and childcare to manage change.  We are providing support with all aspects of management committee function, business skills, legal responsibilities and sustainability.

We are currently completing an impact assessment for the London Borough of Enfield/Sure Start Edmonton to inform a review of services, to manage the change from local programme to children’s centre with tapering funding.
