Supporting boys in Rochdale - Training
Hempsall’s is now delivering training for Rochdale Council Early Years Service. Our first training session (25 November 2017) is called Supporting Boys to Achieve. Responding to boys’ interests and learning styles is key to supporting them to learn and achieve. Building on a number of sessions we have delivered over recent years, this popular training session has evolved and provides an opportunity to reflect on how boys are provided for.
We offer a challenging and refreshing view of gender differences in all aspects of quality practice, and consider how to close the achievement gap between boys and girls. We also consider children’s cognitive development and motivation, and identifies the different learning needs of boys and girls to inform quality planning.
