Smoking and Smacking

It is the policy of Hempsall Consultancies not to accept smoking in front of children and the smacking of children in any childcare or early years setting. We disagree with the Government's position on allowing childminders to do so within the National Standards for Under Eights Daycare and Childminding as inspected by OfSTED. All our training and materials reflect this policy.

We welcome recent announcements that the Government's policy will change.
